Salinas Airport, Salinas California. Backtrack fifty-one years to 1968/ Howard Jacobs, Jim Bassler and myself on another north coast surf trip from Lakewood to San Francisco. HJ became pretty ill with some intestinal problem so Jim and I drove him over to the Salinas Airport so he could fly back to Long Beach to check into Memorial Hospital. I don't recall much of that trip, but I'm sure Jim and I surfed our asses off on the retrun trip.
